To start your journey you have to first think if this is a path you are
truly interested in. Its not to be taken lightly. As a lesbian you are
used to name calling and such. You will find those same prejudices when
people find out you are a practicing witch. Are you prepared for that?
In 1986 Wicca was first accepted as a recognized religion. Witchcraft
and wicca do not always go hand and hand. Witchcraft is a way of life while Wicca is a religion. I am both but I am first a witch who happens to
follow MOST of the ways of Wicca. When the student is ready, the teacher will come. I am here if you
wish to learn. After all, this in order to continue your journey you
first and foremost must own a large jar white candle (usually about 8"
tall). You don't have to go to a specialty shop, you can get them at
Walmart, Target, Giant, anywhere that sells hispanic foods. Also you
will need matches. Not a lighter. On a calm day, near the water, in the
wood, the mountains, where ever calls to you, take your candle and matches, a blanket to sit on and a bottle of water to drink. Once you have found your spot where you will not be disturbed, lay out your
blanket and light your candle. Sit quietly just listening to nature all
around you. Enjoy the breeze as mother nature caresses your skin. Feel
the warmth of the sun as the god kisses your cheek. Use your senses to
take in all the lord and lady have to offer you. If the candle blows out
do not relight it. Take it as a sign of the goddess being present.
Close your eyes and imagine a glowing white ball of light emanating
within your very being. Feel it begin to pulsate until it starts to
surround you. Take 3 deep breaths and let them out very slowly pushing
the light outward from you for about a foot. Notice how everything
stills around you. This is your clue you have found your inner self. If
you do not find it right away do not stress but try again another day.
